To learn more about customs and traditions of the Manggarai peoples who live here, we include a visit to the village of Tado where you find basket-weaving, making a seed-oil lamp, making rope out of fibres, medicinal plants and a range of other activities. This is a community-based project which is helping to support and preserve such skills.
Continue by road to Labuan Bajo, once a small fishing village but today the gateway for trips to the islands of Komodo and Rinca.
